October to April is berry picking season

Spring is such a great time of year.   It’s time to shake off those winter blues and get outdoors.  The air is fresh, the flowers have bloomed and the sun is shining.

The Great Ocean Road is home to rich fertile lands and with that comes big juicy berries, full of that sweet delicious flavour that only this time of year can bring.

Start at Torquay’s Strawberry Fields, then Ravens Creek,  head off at Pennyroyal Raspberry Farm and Cidery (they also do a raspberry Gin), Gentle Annies, Otway Blueberries in Gellibrand, Bungador Berry Farm, Berry World in Timboon and Portland Strawberries, you should have enough berries to add to the perfect

Along the PYO road trip, I would also suggest you stop in at Allansford cheeseworld and pick up a platter of cheeses, Timboon Ice cream for some delicious ice cream, Great Ocean Road Brewhouse, I highly recommend the Prickly Moses Summer Ale or try the “Tastes of the Region” and taste a selection of the local wines or beers.  salad and still some spare to have with you r bottle of sparkling wine.
