Hiked, biked or camped? Recover in style in Torquay

Hiked, biked or camped? Recover in style in Torquay

If you’re heading to the airport, or home to Melbourne after a road trip on the Great Ocean Road, make sure you stay a night or two at the RACV Resort in Torquay as your final destination.

Whether you’ve been in the region for adventure, nature, food/wine, or culture, the best way to finish any active holiday is time at a day spa and sleeping in a big comfy bed (especially if you’ve been camping!).

You’ll return to your work and other commitments not only with amazing memories of the Great Ocean Road, but you’ll feel better within your body and mind.

Our ‘One Day’ spa, with seven treatment rooms, offers the latest face and body treatments using the very best skin and lifestyle range Comfort Zone.

The day spa is located on level 1 in the resort, so you don’t even need to leave the building. You can roll out of bed, be pampered, eat, and repeat!

Here are the top reasons why you should stay with us before returning to the 'real world'!

1. Design your own spa day

No matter how you explored the Great Ocean Road — by car, motorbike, or on foot — your body will thank you for winding down from your active adventure with a day at the spa. Depending on your specific needs and wants to feel relaxed and rejuvenated, we’ll tailor a spa day just for you. When you ring to book, just tell us what you need and we’ll make it happen.

2. Escape to the Thermal Stone Room

One of my favorite treatment rooms is the Thermal Stone Room. It has heated floors and walls and mist sprays to relax your body and mind and release any physical and mental stress and tension. The Vitality Pool – with its warm, heavily salted water — can really address muscle cramps and relieve sore and stiff joints; a perfect remedy for those who’ve just returned from the Great Ocean Walk!

3. Lights… music… mud!

Cleanse every pore (especially if you’ve been camping!) with a DIY body scrub and body mud in the private aromatherapy Lusar steam room. The mist showers, hand held showers will revitalize your skin, whilst your mind is soothed by white lights and music.

4. Graze away, all day

You certainly won’t go hungry at the RACV Resort in Torquay at any time of the day. There’s a full buffet breakfast for overnight guests and you can follow this up with lunch in the bistro (or afternoon tea with our amazing scones, jam and cream…and a sneaky champers?). Number One Restaurant is open for dinner. Nothing but the very best – the photos speak for themselves.

5. Rest your weary head

Hands up who loves the feeling of getting into a ‘real’ bed after a few nights’ of camping? Total bliss! Imagine jumping into a big, soft, warm and comfy king sized beds; then add a view of the ocean (or pristine golf course). Upload your trip photos to social media with our free Wi-Fi and, if you can’t be bothered moving from your room in between trips to the spa…just order food and drinks from 24-hour room service.
